Good Afternoon, Everyone I must say that I will not be sorry to see the back of January. With so much staff illness, children being sent home in their droves with flu-like symptoms and weather that has caused much disruption, it has not been the best start to the year. However, despite all of this, it has been heartwarming and very pleasing to walk around the school and see happy, smiling faces and children engaged in their learning. Maths monitoring of teaching and learning through lesson observations, work scrutiny and talking to children is showing that children are really enjoying their lessons and making good progress. It’s a joy to see. Thank you to my hardworking and caring staff - you are the best - and thank you to parents for supporting the school and ensuring your children are here in school, on time and doing their home-work regularly. ...more
